This semester's crew was a large one! We had so much fun while reviewing and creating pieces, and we thought you might want to get to know the faces behind it all :)

Hey! I knew since sophomore year of high school that I’ve wanted to become a writer and I’m in my fourth semester of SUNY Adk to make that dream come true! I was skeptical about being on an editors team for a magazine because this was the opposite of what I was going for and didn’t think I’d learn much. I later realized that you can learn a lot, especially being in a group of peers and listening to their opinions about what they’re looking for in a poem or prose piece. I hope you enjoy this year’s magazine because I sure enjoyed helping in creating it!

How did we fund this magazine? You don't want to know. Hi, I'm Mike. I'm in my second and final semester at Suny Adirondack and I'm graduating with a degree in Creative Writing. I love to tell stories and I hope to find a career writing novels and screenplays. I knew almost nothing about what it takes to publish a magazine, but working with a great team has made the unknown a ton of fun. It has expanded my critical eye when it comes to art and creativity and what makes a quality piece. I will forever cherish the time I had with this amazing group of editors!

File Manager- Top secret agent, Meeting Manager- not so silent partner, social media

Hello! I am a graduating sophomore and I major in Creative Writing. I will be attending SUNY Plattsburgh in the fall for a BA/MS in Adolescence Education. One of my favorite moments from this semester is sliding my way into being a meeting manager and despite the idea to be a "silent partner" I soon became very vocal. It was incredible to work with this group of people all semester, and I hope you enjoy it :)

Hello there! I’m in my third year. My name you’ve seen at the top already, so here’s the story of my life, normally, I’m a very private person, so all I will mention is that I started SUNY ADK in 2021 with an ambition to be a teacher or a teacher’s assistant but then I’ve changed my major to a Liberal Arts and Sciences: Humanities and Social Sciences AA degree in 2022-23, and I do hope that I will gain a career in screenwriting/writing and/or voice acting after college, but odds are, at worst, I might settle down to a different career just so I could pay my bills and such. Keeping my fingers crossed this year’s Expression’s lit mag goes well!

Creative writing major; 2nd year

Hey Everyone! Welcome to my bio,

Since the age of 12, I’ve been writing seriously and haven’t stopped. I’ve always pretended as a kid and once I knew I could combine my big imagination with a hobby that I was good at, I was hooked! I hope you guys like what we have done as a class as well as all the individuals who made this magazine what it is. Hope you like what you see! :)

Welcome to Expressions! I am in my second year at SUNY Adirondack and I am graduating this spring with an associates in Liberal Arts with a concentration in English. In the fall, I will be off to SUNY Oneonta, where I will be majoring in English (and also possibly Theater!) I am unsure of what I will be doing after that, but hopefully something in the world of theater. It was exciting for me to be on the editing side of Expressions and not just on the submitting side! I hope you enjoy this year’s edition!
